The remainder of the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour 2022 is being streamed domestically on Japanese streaming service U-NEXT, in an agreement negotiated by IMG.

U-NEXT is live streaming 10 tournaments*, starting with the 55th JLPGA Championship Konica Minolta Cup that took place earlier this month, through to the JLPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup taking place from 24-27 November.

The deal enhances the tour’s visibility in its home market, making the sport more accessible to golf fans in Japan. The 2022 JLPGA Tour is now available to watch across streaming services GOLFTV, DAZN and U-NEXT, alongside terrestrial channels.

The JLPGA Tour is the pinnacle of professional women’s golf in Japan and one of the most competitive professional golf tours internationally. It offers the second highest prize fund for women’s golf in the world.

“Women’s sport continues to go from strength to strength on the international stage, and golf is no exception,” said Daisuke Fukushima, SVP and Deputy Managing Director of IMG in Japan. “We’re delighted to help put a spotlight on the competitive and exciting JLPGA Tour and unlock new media opportunities in their domestic market to add value and drive commercial growth.”

* The deal does not include the Japan Women’s Open Golf Championship and the TOTO Japan Classic
